Name	Parameters	Purpose
close		Close the file handle, writing any changes to the disk
isOpen		Get whether the file handle is still open
write	data	Write a string to the file
writeLine	data	Write a string followed by a newline to the file
read	codePointCount=-1	Read up to codePointCount characters from the file (or all remaining if -1)
readLine		Read the next line from the file
position		Get the current read/write position in the file
seek	pos=0	Move the read/write position within the file
atEnd		Get whether the file position is at the end of the file

An open file is held in memory and written back to the disk when you close it. A handle that is never closed never persists its changes.
