What changed

  • The SDK reference category pages (/docs/category/python-sdk-reference, /docs/category/nodejs-sdk-reference) are being retired. Links to them now point to the Python and Node.js SDK getting-started pages (docs/index.md) or straight to the reference pages (ViewtronServer, ViewtronEvent, ViewtronCamera).
  • The LPR application guide links the Node.js events reference.
  • Python SDK page wording:
    • title: Python API for IP Cameras: Viewtron Python SDK
    • description: A Python API for IP cameras and NVRs. The Viewtron Python SDK receives and parses AI detection events (LPR, face, intrusion) and controls cameras. Install with pip install viewtron.
    • heading: Viewtron Python SDK: Python API for IP Cameras
    • first sentence: The Viewtron Python SDK (pip install viewtron) is a Python API for IP cameras and NVRs, and the recommended way to work with the Viewtron IP Camera API from Python.

How it was tested

Built the documentation site locally. No new broken links. The built sitemap no longer lists the two category pages; nothing else changed in it. No links in the docs point at the retired URLs.

… API for IP cameras

- Links to the SDK reference category pages now go to the Python and
Node.js SDK getting-started pages or to the reference pages themselves.
- Python SDK page: title, description, heading and first paragraph say
  "Python API for IP cameras".
