feat(mosaic): hold the email and phone menus open while a verification code is sent - #10446
On a slow connection, choosing Verify on an unverified email address or phone number opened the dialog right away on the code screen, before any code had been sent. The code field stayed disabled until the send finished, and a failed send showed its error on that screen.
Now the menu stays open while the code is sent:
Verify shows a spinner and is marked busy, and the menu's other actions are disabled.
Escape and clicking outside don't close the menu while it's pending.
The dialog opens on the code screen once the code has been sent. A failed send still opens the dialog with the error, as before.
Email addresses verified by link or SSO open their dialog right away, as before, since nothing is sent before it.

Walkthrough
Email and phone verification controllers now expose the contact ID while verification preparation is pending. Contact rows use that ID to mark the matching Verify action as pending. The verification dialog stays closed during preparation. Tests cover the pending state and the flow after code entry.
clerk/javascript#10406: Changes the same email and phone verification controllers and adds asynchronous preparation with pendingVerifyId.

Add feature tests for a failed code send in the email and phone sections.
The feature tests cover only a successful prepare_verification. A rejected request leaves the failure path unprotected. The controller can move to the code step with an error while the dialog opens, and no feature-level test would detect a regression there. This is a coverage gap for working behavior, so it is a refactor-priority item rather than a defect.
Add a feature test for each section that holds the prepare_verification request, fails it, and asserts that the menu closes and the dialog opens showing the error.
Suggested fix
+ it('opens the verification dialog with the error when the code cannot be sent', async () => {+ const pending = fapiEmailAddress({ id: 'idn_pending', email_address: 'pending@example.com' });+ const { actor } = await renderSection(signedInWithEmails([PRIMARY, pending]));+ const prepare = holdRequests('post', '/v1/me/email_addresses/:id/prepare_verification');++ await manageEmail(actor, 'pending@example.com', 'Verify');+ await waitFor(() => expect(prepare.requests).toHaveLength(1));+ prepare.fail('too_many_requests', 'Too many requests');++ const dialog = await screen.findByRole('dialog');+ expect(dialog).toHaveTextContent('Too many requests');+ expect(screen.queryByRole('menu')).toBeNull();+ });
Repeat the same pattern in user-profile-phone-section.feature.test.tsx, using /v1/me/phone_numbers/:id/prepare_verification, manage(actor, WORK_LABEL, 'Verify phone number'), and fapiPhoneNumber. The email controller test already checks errorMessage and step. The feature test adds the dialog open state and the rendered error, so it is not a duplicate.
