Brings Qodana back to XoopsCore27, mirroring the setup that is working on XoopsCore26.

  • qodana.yaml: jetbrains/qodana-php 2026.2, qodana.recommended profile, PHP 8.4. The bootstrap installs htdocs/xoops_lib/composer.dist.lock inside the linter container (ignoring missing PHP extensions only), so inspections resolve vendor classes. Excluded: both vendor trees, htdocs/install, htdocs/xoops_data, extras, tests, build.
  • .github/workflows/qodana.yml: runs on pull requests, pushes to master and manual dispatch; pinned to qodana-action v2026.2.2 and checkout v7.0.1; skipped when QODANA_TOKEN is not set.
  • Changelog entry under 2.7.4 NOT RELEASED.

The repository needs the QODANA_TOKEN secret (same as XoopsCore26) for the scan step to run.

Summary by Sourcery

Integrate automated Qodana code quality scanning into the repository's pull request and master workflows.

New Features:

  • Add Qodana static analysis scanning for pull requests, master pushes, and manual runs.

Enhancements:

  • Enable automatic CodeRabbit reviews.

CI:

  • Configure the Qodana workflow to use repository credentials, concurrency controls, and pull request reporting.

Documentation:

  • Record the Qodana integration in the 2.7.4 unreleased changelog.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Enabled automatic pull request reviews; draft reviews remain disabled.
    • Added automated code-quality scans for pull requests and changes to the main branch. Scans run when the required repository credential is available.
    • Updated the unreleased 2.7.4 changelog with details about the new scanning checks.

Mirror the XoopsCore26 setup: jetbrains/qodana-php 2026.2 with the qodana.recommended profile, bootstrapped from xoops_lib/composer.dist.lock, with vendor trees, the installer, xoops_data, extras and tests excluded. The scan runs only when the QODANA_TOKEN secret is set.

This change affects only CI tooling. The Qodana configuration may not select the PHP linter correctly. Pull requests from forks are skipped without a scan. Neither issue affects the shipped application, but fix the configuration key so the new scan works as intended.

Reviewer's Guide

Restores Qodana analysis for XoopsCore27 by adding a PHP 8.4, dependency-aware Qodana configuration and a pinned GitHub Actions workflow for pull requests, master pushes, and manual runs, with scans gated on the QODANA_TOKEN secret; the integration is also documented in the unreleased 2.7.4 changelog.

File-Level Changes

Change Details Files
Add a repository-level Qodana configuration for PHP static analysis with dependency-aware bootstrapping and targeted exclusions.
  • Pin the Qodana PHP image and recommended inspection profile to PHP 8.4.
  • Install XOOPS library dependencies in the linter container while ignoring only missing PHP extensions.
  • Exclude vendor trees and non-production, generated, installation, data, test, and build paths from inspection.
qodana.yaml
Add an automated GitHub Actions workflow to run Qodana on pull requests, master updates, and manual dispatches.
  • Use pinned checkout and Qodana action revisions with full history and a 30-minute timeout.
  • Cancel superseded scans per ref and grant read, pull-request, and checks permissions.
  • Run only for the canonical repository and skip the scan when QODANA_TOKEN is unavailable.
.github/workflows/qodana.yml
Document the Qodana integration in the unreleased 2.7.4 changelog.
  • Record the addition of Qodana scanning and its required repository secret.

**Fork pull requests skip scanning**

When a pull request comes from a fork, gitHub does not expose repository secrets to `pull_request` runs from forks, so `QODANA_TOKEN` is empty and the Qodana step is skipped; no tokenless scan or other fallback analyzes those pull requests.

Provide a safe tokenless scanning path for fork pull requests, or otherwise make clear that Qodana coverage is limited to runs with the secret.

Sourcery assessment

Needs a human reviewer. 1 finding to address first, and the workflow runs Qodana’s bootstrap against pull-request-controlled files, including a Composer install, while the job can receive the QODANA secret and a write-capable GitHub token. If untrusted code uses that execution to expose those credentials or make unauthorized PR/check changes, reverting the workflow cannot undo the exposure or actions already taken.
