Fix the correctness findings from the Qodana scan - #269
Conversation
image.php called imagerotate() with four arguments, a fatal error on PHP 8 when an angle is requested. The LDAP and Active Directory auth classes used the ldap_connect($host, $port) form that PHP 8.3 deprecates; they now build one ldap:// URI and keep a scheme the admin already configured. The cache engine base class throws LogicException for a missing read() or write() instead of trigger_error(E_USER_ERROR), deprecated in PHP 8.4. xoops_aw_encode() and xoops_aw_decode() are array_walk() callbacks but took their element by value, so they were no-ops; they now take it by reference, and write.php serializes the walked array (quoted through the database handler) instead of array_walk()'s boolean. xoops_getUrlDomain() checks the host key only when parse_url() returned an array.
Reviewer's GuideThis PR resolves PHP-version compatibility findings and correctness bugs by updating image rotation and LDAP APIs, replacing deprecated cache error handling with LogicException, fixing in-place array encoding and safe database serialization, correcting URL host validation, and documenting the changes. **Unicode arrays become booleans**
When a Unicode-array field is read through `getVar()` or saved through legacy `XoopsObject::cleanVars()`, `XoopsObject::getVar()` assigns `array_walk()`’s boolean result to `$ret`, so reads return `true`; legacy `XoopsObject::cleanVars()` serializes that boolean, so saves persist `b:1;` instead of the array.
Keep the array being walked and return or serialize that array, rather than assigning or serializing `array_walk()`’s boolean result.

**IPv6 LDAP connections fail**
When an administrator configures the LDAP server as a raw IPv6 address, the URI construction appends the port to the unbracketed address, producing an invalid URI such as `ldap://2001:db8::1:389`; `ldap_connect()` cannot reach the directory, so authentication fails.
Bracket IPv6 literals when constructing the LDAP URI.

**LDAP port setting is ignored**
When the server is configured with an `ldap://` or `ldaps://` URI without an explicit port and `ldap_port` is non-default, the URI branch passes `ldap_server` unchanged to `ldap_connect()`, which uses the scheme’s default port instead of `ldap_port`; authentication cannot reach the configured directory.
Include `ldap_port` in the URI when the configured URI has no explicit port.

**LDAPS authentication fails with TLS enabled**
When `ldap_server` uses the `ldaps://` scheme and `ldap_use_TLS` is enabled, `ldap_start_tls()` is called on an already TLS-protected LDAPS connection and fails; the authentication methods return false before searching or binding, so users cannot log in.
Skip StartTLS for an `ldaps://` URI, or reject this conflicting configuration before connecting.
Also at `htdocs/class/auth/auth_ads.php:70-73`.
</issue_to_address>Sourcery assessment
Needs a human reviewer. 4 findings to address first, and the LDAP connection URI now determines where authentication binds are sent; if the host, port, or scheme is assembled incorrectly, credentials could reach the wrong endpoint, and reverting cannot retract credentials already disclosed. The array-walk fix also changes what gets serialized into database records, so incorrect values could persist, though the LDAP credential exposure is the less recoverable outcome.
Blocking findings: htdocs/class/model/write.php:201, htdocs/class/auth/auth_ldap.php:241, htdocs/class/auth/auth_ldap.php:240, htdocs/class/auth/auth_ldap.php:242
XoopsObject::getVar() and setVar() had the same array_walk() misuse as write.php: getVar() returned true instead of the decoded unicode array and setVar() serialized a boolean. The LDAP URI builder brackets a bare IPv6 address, and STARTTLS is skipped on an ldaps:// URI, which is already encrypted. The changelog names PHP 8.3 as the version that removed the fourth imagerotate() argument; 8.0 to 8.2 still accept it.
The docblock said array|null, but every caller passes a user id; Scrutinizer flagged each of them once getVar() stopped returning a boolean for unicode arrays.
Two defects remained after #269 made the array_walk() encode and decode calls act on the array: XoopsObject::assignVar() url-decoded the stored value as a whole string before getVar() unserialized it. Any element containing a %-sequence (café, a+b, 100%) changed length, unserialize() warned and getVar() returned []. The serialized string is now stored as is; getVar() unserializes it and decodes the elements. XoopsModelWrite::cleanVars() still ran the addslashes() loop that predates $db->quote() before url-encoding the elements, so the backslashes became stored data (O'Reilly became O\'Reilly). The loop is removed; the whole value is SQL-quoted once. A new test stores an array through both write paths in a subprocess with the real functions.encoding.php, reloads it through assignVar() and asserts the original array. It fails on master and passes here.
Follow-up to #268: the fixes for the real findings in the first Qodana report on master.
