Misconfiguration produces clear, distinct errors instead of hangs or garbage.

Acceptance criteria

• VBoxVMI disabled or socket missing: clear error at init
• Protocol version mismatch: clear error at handshake
• MachineDebugger method against a VirtualBox without the memory patch: clear 'not implemented by this VirtualBox' error
• Each case covered by an integration test
