Products: Product Ownership

Every product on the website needs to have ownership assigned to a particular publisher. Ownership must be assigned to products immediately after they have been uploaded. This way as soon as someone downloads a copy of a product this will reflect on the publishers page and they will be able to track their sales. To assign ownership to a newly uploaded product login to the server and under Products click on “Product ownership”. Search for the publisher you wish to assign ownership to by name, or browse through list. Select the correct publisher.

All products whose ownership has not yet been assigned to a particular publisher will appear on the list under the heading “Unassigned Products”. Search for the product you would like to assign to the selected publisher from this list, then click “Assign”. This product will now appear under the “Assigned Products” list.

If this publisher owns other books that have already been loaded on the site that have that their ownership assigned they will be listed under the heading “Assigned Products”. If you would like to unassign a product, simply select that product from the list and click “Unassign”. This product will now appear in the “Unassigned Products” list below.
