I think this can be merged now. The fact that link click handling is not implemented on iOS is an iOS problem. App developers may start utilizing links already now I'd say.
Though before we forget, maybe it's then worth mentioning somewhere that WebXDC spec implementers should keep in mind that links can be used for exfiltration.

Delta Chat clients added a confirmation dialog for external links instead of blocking them outright:
https:etc. deltachat/deltachat-android#4054We should perhaps also mention this in changelog, and also check other the other clients that support webxdc that they have the same behavior.
