I had a suggestion for shop search that keeps the original intent of the simple, in-person shops but still enables users to more easily check and navigate pricing without wandering back and forth for hours. I do see there is a gui suggestion, but I feel this way would be easier and better suited to the plugin's easy shop setup.
If there was a command search for a particular item, like /search diamond for instance, it could bring up a list of all the shops that are currently selling diamonds and list their price. Maybe clicking it in chat takes you to their shop or have a separate command to teleport to their lot.
There was an old plugin I cant find anymore that had this feature and it was just wonderful and easier to do any sort of player shopping. And in this limited command and list capacity, it would not inhibit the simple, easy to use setup you have of the actual shops.
Permissions could be something to the effect of signshop.search and signshop.teleport
