The language picker, the editor's syntax mode and the theme are drawn by the IDE instead of the browser: dark, with a check on the current choice, a search box on lists of more than 8 (names, file extensions and groups are searched), an extension badge on each language, a colour on each theme and Bright and Dark groups. The status bar's menus open upwards. Arrows, Home, End, Enter, Esc, Tab and typing work. The <select> stays in the page and stays the source of truth: choosing sets it and fires input and change, the page setting select.value redraws the button, and focus() and showPicker() (the palette, the All 19 chip) open the menu. The tour points at the button, and so does the pulse that shows where Genie is working when it sets the language. A touch screen keeps the browser's picker. The search field is bare: the page's global input styling and its focus ring are turned off inside the menu, so there is one box and not two. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
