The `room_id` for new room versions no longer contains the homeserver. Therefore we need to add the alias server to the `via` or just join the alias instead of the resolved id.

I've been using this PR for a bit and it works as expected. Would love to see it merged if possible :) |

This changes completion of matrix ids to be a matrix.to link. I don't think there is a better solution because we need a link for mentions to work.
To mention a user complete either an empty word or an
@and the start of the username or displayname. This will complete a markdown formattedmatrix.tolink for the user. When sending the message, allmatrix.tolinks are added as intentional mentions. It is not possible to mention a room.I'm not sure where to add the documentation for mentioning a user.
