That phrase in the feature list is **auto-capture**: after a conversation, a background AI request summarizes technical work and saves it as memory. No special prompt from you is required. It uses `opencodeProvider` / `opencodeModel` when set, otherwise the manual `memoryProvider` fallback.

Auto-capture uses bounded textual tool outcomes alongside assistant text. Invocation status is
not proof that a command, test, or task succeeded: summaries must distinguish plans, attempts,
failures, observed results and unverified claims. Useful failure/recovery lessons can be
remembered; routine command failures need not produce memories.

Tool results are privacy-filtered before truncation, limited to 2 KiB per result and 16 KiB
for the whole tool-evidence block (or less under a small context budget). Up to 32 calls are
retained, preserving early and recent attempts and explicitly marking omissions. File
attachments, arbitrary metadata and full logs are not imported. This adds no new evidence
store; existing deleted-session recovery bounds/expiry remain unchanged. These excerpts
are partial evidence, not a verifier, and model summaries can still be wrong.

Generated capture summaries are limited to 8 KiB UTF-8, with at most eight 64-byte tags.
Oversized responses use the existing fallback/retry path rather than silently chopping away
an outcome caveat; oversized update-on-capture rewrites fall back to adding the bounded draft.
These limits apply before memory embedding/storage, not to all provider response traffic.
External providers retain requests and raw responses in their existing session history
(seven-day default expiry), before capture validation. Tool evidence in requests is bounded,
but this does not bound raw provider responses; retries retain separate copies and cleanup
must run.
This is not a global database-size cap, and deleting rows need not immediately shrink DB/WAL
files. No historical memories or provider-history settings are changed.

### User profile

The **User Profile** is a separate, cross-project summary of how you like to work (preferences, habits). It is updated on an interval (`userProfileAnalysisInterval`, default every 10 analyzed prompts), shown in the web UI’s profile view, and readable via `memory({ mode: "profile" })`. You do not populate it by hand for normal use — profile learning fills it when a provider is ready. Output language follows `autoCaptureLanguage` (default `"auto"`, mirroring the language of your prompts), the same setting used for auto-captured memories.
