The root README didn't say what Taskless is or what this repository holds. It now reads in three parts:

  1. What Taskless is, led by the brand line "Correct once. Enforced forever."
  2. Get started, following the docs.taskless.io quick start: install the skill with npx @taskless/cli, get onboarded, create a rule, then check your code. It no longer tells people to run init, because init is for agents and scripts, not humans.
  3. What's in this repository, with a section for each part:
    • the CLI, @taskless/cli
    • the @taskless/vale-* platform packages: the Vale binaries wrapped in npm packages and published over OIDC
    • the canonical Taskless skill and its recipes

It also fixes outdated content:

  • Release process. The README described a manual pnpm release:production with a 2FA prompt and hand tagging. It now describes the automated flow: a Changesets PR, then release-cli.yml publishes over OIDC and tags the release.
  • Recipes. These were described as .txt files with {{CLI_VERSION}} placeholders. They're .md files now, and none use placeholders.
  • Topic list. The hard-coded list of topics is replaced by a pointer to taskless agent, which prints the current list.

The Marketing Assets session reviewed the copy for voice and tone.

There's no changeset, since the root README isn't part of any published package.

…hree parts

Lead with what Taskless is and the docs.taskless.io quick start, then
describe what the repo holds: the CLI, the Vale platform packages, and the
canonical Taskless skill. Replace the stale manual release steps with the
automated Changesets + OIDC flow, and drop init from the human path.
