The Chandra Lensing-cluster Ultradeep Extragalactic Survey (CLUES) is an ultradeep X-ray survey of the Abell 2744 field. The survey combines 101 archival Chandra ACIS-I observations with a total exposure of approximately 2 Ms. The first CLUES paper presents the survey data reduction, point-source detection, X-ray photometry, and basic spectral properties.
Enter sky coordinates in our online photometry tool to obtain X-ray fluxes or 90% upper limits in the full, soft, and hard bands.
At present, this repository provides only the main Abell 2744 X-ray point-source catalog:
-
catalog/Abell2744_catalog.csv: 327 sources and 37 columns. A source is included when it satisfies$\Delta C \geq 25$ in at least one of the full (0.5--7 keV), soft (0.5--2 keV), or hard (2--7 keV) bands.
The catalog columns and uncertainty conventions are described in
catalog/README.md. File integrity can be checked using
catalog/SHA256SUMS.
We expect to release the other CLUES data products after the accompanying paper is accepted.
The survey and catalog are described in the following paper:
Wang, S., Zou, F., et al. 2026, Chandra Lensing-cluster Ultradeep Extragalactic Survey (CLUES) I: A 2 Ms Point-Source Catalog of the Abell 2744 Field, arXiv:2609.17673
The paper is currently under review, and the arXiv version may be updated.
