Summary

Rewrites the device guides for the simplified setup. A device is a Mac running the Stunt Double app. Devices are available on the Startup plan and above, and an owner or admin switches them on in Settings > Devices. Each member then sets up their Mac from This Device in the desktop app. Custom deployments are the Enterprise option.

  • integrations/self-hosted-workers.mdx: retitled Devices, same slug. Covers setup, where each actor's browser runs, how a run picks a browser, moving a Mac between workspaces, access settings, and troubleshooting.
  • integrations/desktop-app.mdx and tutorials/self-hosted-worker: the This Device flow.
  • Index pages: wording updated. The Docker and command line worker instructions are removed.

No slugs renamed, so no redirects. pnpm test, pnpm type-check and pnpm build pass.

Devices are an Enterprise feature switched on in Settings > Devices, and a
Mac is set up from This Device in the desktop app. Remove the Docker and
command line worker instructions, explain where each actor's browser runs,
moving a Mac between workspaces, and the new troubleshooting cases.
Point the plan notes and troubleshooting at Startup, and describe custom
deployments as the Enterprise option.

Graphify reviewed this change.

No issues found by static checks — no coupling regressions or blocking issues in the code graph. That is not the same as safe to merge: see what was not checked.

Not checked: tests were not run; no formal proof of the changed code.

Graphify review — findings

Renames "self-hosted workers" to "devices" across the docs and rewrites the desktop app guide around the new This Device console. That covers setting up the Mac there, choosing each actor's browser location from its Manage tab, and moving or re-pairing a Mac between workspaces. It also updates the plan requirement from Enterprise's Workers entitlement to Startup or above with devices switched on in Settings, and adds troubleshooting for stale connections, re-pairing and Chrome being frozen by endpoint security.

No blocking issues surfaced. 3 lower-confidence candidates did not survive cross-model review.

Analysis details — impact, health, verification

Impact & health

Graphify review

Impact — 50 functions depend on the 50 functions this change touches.

Health — grade A; no new coupling hotspots.

Verification — 50 functions in the blast radius were not formally verified this run (proofs are advisory here).

Gate & verification

graphify gate

PASS — objectively clean (no health regressions, tests not run — proofs not run this pass (advisory)). Grounded, not self-assessed.

Advisory (not blocking):

  • verification_scope: 50 function(s) in the blast radius were not formally verified this run
