Description

What is the purpose of this pull request?

This pull request:

  • renames the C source files in number/float64/base/exponent, number/float64/base/mul, and number/float64/base/sub to src/main.c and updates each manifest.json, matching the convention used by 17 of 20 (85%) native packages in number/float64/base.

number/float64/base/exponent

Renames src/exponent.c to src/main.c and updates the single src entry in manifest.json. The C source contents are unchanged.

number/float64/base/mul

Renames src/mul.c to src/main.c and updates the three src entries (build, benchmark, examples) in manifest.json. The C source contents are unchanged.

number/float64/base/sub

Renames src/sub.c to src/main.c and updates the three src entries (build, benchmark, examples) in manifest.json. The C source contents are unchanged.

  • This follows chore: rename C source files according to convention #15435, which applied the same rename to number/float32/base/{from-word,to-word}.
  • Namespace summary: 27 members in number/float64/base (the assert sub-namespace excluded). Features analyzed: file tree, package.json/manifest.json key sets, README sections, test/benchmark naming, public signature, return kind, validation prologue, error construction, and JSDoc shape. Every feature with a clear majority (≥75%) conformed apart from the outliers above. Features without a clear majority, such as the presence of native bindings (20/27), were excluded.
  • Validation: structural features were extracted from the filesystem, and semantic features were extracted per package from lib/*.js. Each candidate was reviewed by three independent agents: semantic intent, cross-reference, and structural applicability. A repo-wide search found no references to the old filenames outside each package's own manifest.json. Header/include paths, JS exports, and dependents' manifests (which reference packages, not files) are unaffected. Each src/main.c passed gcc -fsyntax-only against its manifest's include dependencies.
  • Deliberately excluded: from-binary-string (its input-length validation is semantically required), to-float16/to-float32 (lib/main.js exports a built-in, and the JSDoc lives in polyfill.js), and missing ## See Also sections (generator-owned).

…ng to convention

Renamed `src/exponent.c` to `src/main.c` and updated the 1 `src` entry in `manifest.json` (`src/main.c` present in 85% (17/20) of native siblings in `number/float64/base`; follows #15435).
