    🙌 Thanks I'd like to give

    • Shoutout to @kgryte for helping me out with understanding context for ndarray/concat

    ✅ Updates from last week

    🔭 My plan for the current week

    • feat: add blas/ext/base/ndarray/dsorthp stdlib#7854
    • Add review suggestions to currently open PRs and get them merged ( This includes finishing up any top-level packages required after those PRs e.g blas/ext/sorthp
    • Implement ndarray/concat, add utility functions if required.
    • If all above goals are achieved, pick a low hanging fruit from the tracking issue (which on is TBD).

    🙏 Challenges that I've faced and things I'd like help with

    🏝️ My availability for next week

    • Public holiday coming up on 14th. I may not take the leave, depends on the mood 🤷🏻

    💬 Important items for discussion

    • None ATM.

    🙌 Thanks I'd like to give

    • Shoutout to @Planeshifter for staying on top of clean-up work for recent commits. Definitely helps bring some peace of mind.

    ✅ Updates from last week

    • I was busy with Quansight work until Thursday.
    • Worked on PR review.
    • Been reading Leland Wilkinson's The Grammar of Graphics to learn some of the theory behind statistical graphics which underpins the more recent work of Vega and Observable Plot.
    • Worked on adding additional property support to various Vega components in the ongoing plot refactor. One of the trickier things I am trying to figure out is how to represent Marks as classes, as marks are arguably the most complicated aspect of the Vega specification. My plan is to let the design questions simmer in the background while I complete full property support for axes and other more straightforward Vega components.

    🔭 My plan for the current week

    • PR review.
    • I'd really like to get the ndarray APIs for unary and binary PRNGs completed. This would obviate the need for doing
    var xbuf = uniform( 100, -10, 10, opts );
    var x = new ndarray( opts.dtype, xbuf, [ xbuf.length ], [ 1 ], 0, 'row-major' );

    so that this is a one-liner

    var x = uniform( [ 100 ], -10, 10, opts );

    while random/uniform is already complete (cc @headlessNode), other PRNGs are not (e.g., normal, bernoulli, etc).

    • I still have open items from previous weeks (e.g., sannsumpw, signed zero preservation in blas/ext/base, etc).

    🙏 Challenges that I've faced and things I'd like help with

    • Currently trying to figure out the right approach for representing Mark components as classes, as mentioned above.

    🏝️ My availability for next week

    • No time off plans.

    💬 Important items for discussion

    • Only 3 weeks remain of the official GSoC program. Those in GSoC should already be working on the end of program Wiki write-up. I've added the GSoC report template to the Wiki. I have also copied the template to individual pages for each of you to fill out. Two comments:

      • If you are unable to edit your wiki page, LMK, and I will update permissions.
      • You can edit the Wiki locally using Git. Simply clone the wiki (https://github.com/stdlib-js/stdlib.wiki.git), edit your page, commit changes, and push. You may, however, want to make your changes in a local branch in order to avoid needing to rebase if other folks are pushing changes.
