Dependency conflict with apache-airflow 3.3.0 due to cachetools upper bound (<6) #240

Hi Snowflake ML team,

I am unable to install snowflake-ml-python in an Apache Airflow 3.3.0 environment because of a cachetools version constraint conflict.

Problem

snowflake-ml-python requires cachetools >= 3.1.1, < 6. Airflow 3.3.0 requires cachetools>=6.0.0, which makes snowflake-ml-python non-installable in that environment.

Reproduction

• Create a clean environment, python 3.13.5
• Install apache-airflow==3.3.0
• Try to install snowflake-ml-python

Observed result

  Attempting uninstall: cachetools
    Found existing installation: cachetools 7.1.4
    Uninstalling cachetools-7.1.4:
      Successfully uninstalled cachetools-7.1.4
ERROR: pip's dependency resolver does not currently take into account all the packages that are installed. This behaviour is the source of the following dependency conflicts.
apache-airflow-core 3.3.0 requires cachetools>=6.0.0, but you have cachetools 5.5.2 which is incompatible.

Question

Is it possible to relax the upper bound on cachetools restrictions and make it compatible with Airflow 3.3.0 ?
