Mechanical engineering student at Case Western Reserve University. Undergraduate thermal-fluid research and projects in electronics cooling.
- CFD research: With technical guidance from Huigang Wang, I created geometry and meshes, configured and ran ANSYS Fluent cases with 400, 800, and 1,600 axial divisions, and extracted and compared predicted elongated-bubble length near the tube midpoint. Cross-sectional meshing and inflation settings were held fixed.
- Design and fabrication: Modeled a rocket nose cone in SolidWorks and built it; measured and cut aluminum rods, then assembled and aligned an adjustable fixture for infrared and high-speed cameras.
- Cooling bench (design and test planning): Planning an unbuilt liquid-cooling bench to assess heater-block temperature rise above coolant inlet temperature. Planned measurements include temperatures, flow, heater-terminal electrical power, and pressure drop, with repeat/remount checks and separate unheated pressure-flow tests. Measured cooling-performance results are not yet available.
- Cooling Loop Dashboard — explores synthetic cooling-loop data and educational energy-balance calculations
- Sensor Stream Simulator — generates reproducible synthetic temperature, flow, pressure, pump, load, and fault data
- Thermal Calculator — educational heat-transfer and straight-pipe-flow calculations with explicit SI units, assumptions, and software checks
Tools used in these projects: Python, Git, pytest, pandas, Matplotlib, and Streamlit.
The simulator and dashboard use synthetic data. These software projects do not establish measured cooling-hardware performance.
