… or host fonts Renders an mm-exact fixture (tests/Visual/fixture) and compares page count and page sizes (pdfinfo) exactly and each page's pixels (pdftopng at 100 dpi, GD) with committed per-platform baselines. PHPUnit group 'visual' with must-fail controls (smart shrinking on, zoom 1.02, 4 px margin, Letter paper), and a CLI that also compares two strategies or binaries directly. macOS baselines from the bundled binary; Linux baselines to come from CI. xpdf-static as require-dev; CI runs the group in its own step and uploads diffs on failure.
Bundled Linux binary on Ubuntu 24.04 (CI run 38245001852); the PHP 8.1 and 8.4 renders are byte-identical. Mm-placed elements land on the same pixels as on macOS; only text differs.
