ops(post-v1.30.0): source-truth audit, roadmap/TODO reconciliation, repo/app housekeeping and next-wave reset #927

Open

Description

@qnbs

POST-v1.30.0 PORTFOLIO AUTHORITY — 2026-10-14 (PLANNED; NOT ADMITTED)

Canonical complete, prioritized Linear portfolio: WorldScript — Post-v1.30 Inventory / Ranked Execution / Branding & OSS Growth, owned by QNB-173. Audited 275 accessible workspace Linear tickets, 223 WorldScript-relevant, of which 144 unfinished (every one classified in the document) and 79 Done/Duplicate/Canceled (historical, not revived). This inventory is a dated planning snapshot, not a claim all GitHub issues or code TODOs are exhausted; refresh from live main/Linear at M8.

Maintainer rule: RELEASE FIRST. Current #445 Gate4–7, #926 v1.30 release, #911 release security and #932 pretag documentation, with independently justified P0/P1 blockers, stay on the pre-release lane. No redesign, rebrand, stars/marketing, Greptile campaign, broad toolchain refresh, i18n expansion or speculative meta-governance PR on that lane. Do not defer required pretag claim corrections to M8. GitHub Pages destructive-pruning activation #1028 is separately owner-gated; no implicit activation under this plan.

Ranked activities to admit only AFTER v1.30.0 VERIFIED

Order Lane Existing owners and new narrowly scoped counterparts
0 Release result/source-truth M8 reset, severity triage, docs/roadmap truth and bounded housekeeping This #927 / QNB-173; #877/#559/#724/#549; protect unresolved evidence; reconcile all actual current states
1A Evidence-driven first-value/first-run UX, IA, progressive disclosure, accessibility and appearance QNB-201 + existing compacted UX work package; #818/#702/#557; do not reactivate Duplicate QNB-202–209
1B Selected Cosmic Indigo logo W/globe/orbit/star, wordmark, semantic palette, icon/PWA/Tauri/tray/splash/visual toolkit NEW #1039. Brand masters can run alongside UX research; actual UI rollouts follow IA and contrast/accessibility acceptance. #819 remains ambient-glass token debt only
1C Risk-ranked platform/maintenance/security follow-ups and measured toolchain/agent review optimization #572/#573/#780/#931/#550, existing security/test owners; bounded admitted slices only, no new anti-cascade governance
2 Authentic OSS/project discovery, credible writing demo + true product screenshots, existing DEV.to content, relevant community and Greptile OSS eligibility NEW #1040, QNB-141/QNB-138 editorial owners, #724 docs. No artificial star campaigns.
3 Lower-priority PWA/mobile, AI/editor/export, collaboration, i18n and optional experiments #478 and scoped child issues, QNB-212 compacted locale roadmap, existing product/quality owners; demand/risk gate later

Dependencies: Verified release → M8 source-truth reset/owner classification → admit bounded UX/brand/operational lanes → product screenshots and authentic outreach only when corresponding capabilities/visuals truly ship. No forced serial dependency between independent read-only UX research and asset master design, and no 50-star gate for engineering work.

Design reference: user-selected brandboard in source conversation, not a public/committed production asset. SHA256 original upload 8221f3dfca65bdd1db4220001ad18720622d205485e917c883198ec700d30b33; archive a rights-cleared durable copy on admission. No source PR, release asset changes or unsafe third-party visuals before release.

Greptile: maintainer's OSS form currently showed a 50-star requirement, while ordinary Starter 50 monthly review credits do not suffice; verify then-current actual eligibility and provider manual exception before advertising free reviews. At 2026-10-14 repo had 21 stars (time-variable), not a promised outcome. #1040 owns only legitimate adoption.

Compaction: QNB-202–209 and QNB-213–220 are intentional Duplicate descendants consolidated in QNB-201/QNB-212 documentation. Never recreate them because a new inventory was requested. Linear issue slot ceiling: new GitHub owners #1039/#1040 mirrored by this #927 and the existing QNB-173/QNB-201/QNB-141, no duplicate Linear tickets.

Purpose

Run immediately after v1.30.0 VERIFIED. This is the structured reset from the focused desktop at-rest encryption milestone back to the broader WorldScript roadmap.

START_AFTER = v1.30.0 VERIFIED
PRIMARY_INPUT = #445 + v1.30.0 release evidence
GOAL = CURRENT_TRUTH + CLEAN_CONTROL_PLANE + NEXT_WAVE_READY

Phase A — at-rest closure audit

Phase B — roadmap / TODO / ledger truth

Coordinate existing owners instead of duplicating them:

Phase C — repo/app housekeeping

Use #877 as bounded repo-hygiene owner and expand only when live audit proves new debt. Cover stale branches/worktrees, safe pnpm/store/cache hygiene, merged PR branch cleanup, Vercel preview retention #627, stale generated reports/graph artifacts, temporary/handoff files, dormant config/policy copies, dependency-policy comment drift, obsolete feature flags/migrations from the cutover and stale release artifacts/previews not needed for rollback. Preserve unresolved rescue/evidence material.

Phase D — dependency/toolchain freshness audit

Phase E — quality/security audit

Phase F — control-plane reset

Produce one current prioritized matrix: P0 immediate, P1 short term, P2 medium term, deferred with evidence, blocked on maintainer decision, terminal/close. Update GitHub + Linear; close superseded owners only with evidence; never mass-close by text matching.

Exit

  • source truth synchronized;
  • no stale release/R-15 execution instructions remain authoritative;
  • repo/app housekeeping complete or bounded;
  • next highest-priority engineering lane selected/admitted;
  • autonomous development resumes from clean current state.

Adaptive reviewer / repository-learning audit

After v1.30.0 is VERIFIED, consume #780 and the multi-reviewer orchestrator owner to perform a deliberate learning/rationalization pass:

  • compare which reviewers caught unique material defects during v1.30 versus duplicated/noisy signal;
  • reconcile live reviewer availability, quota semantics, config authority and documented roles;
  • verify no advisory provider silently became direct/transitive merge authority;
  • audit dashboard-vs-repo configuration drift (including DeepSource);
  • decide whether DeepSource JavaScript can be admitted against the then-current TypeScript toolchain;
  • inspect stale suppressions/ignore patterns and dead integrations;
  • convert repeated finding classes into types/tests/deterministic guards where warranted;
  • consolidate AGENTS/instruction/CI/reviewer docs around one canonical durable policy;
  • evaluate the Kimi fallback / multi-reviewer orchestrator rollout using measured signal, latency and cost;
  • remove or demote low-value duplication only with evidence;
  • preserve human/admin authorization boundaries and least privilege.

This is the broad optimization point. During the v1.30 critical path, only small directly useful review-learning changes should be pulled forward.

    Pre-release docs checkpoint relationship — 2026-10-01

    #932 / QNB-176 now owns the bounded pre-v1.30 README/GitBook/DeepWiki/DEV.to parity + release-adjacent housekeeping pass after Gate 7 and before tag/release freeze.

    This does not shrink #927. Post-release, consume #932's resulting truth/evidence and then perform the deeper reset already owned here: complete roadmap/TODO/source-truth reconciliation, repository/app hygiene, reviewer/tool learning audit, dependency/toolchain freshness and next-program reprioritization.

    Do not redo #932 mechanically; inspect what changed during publication/released-artifact verification and only reconcile remaining/new drift.

    2026-10-14 — post-v1.30 Dependabot portfolio amendment, RELEASE FIRST

    Owner's latest instruction explicitly defers all routine Dependabot integration to M8 AFTER verified v1.30; earlier same-day suggestions to run a dependency merge train after Vercel/GitHub pruning but before Gate4 W1 are superseded. Current 18 bot PRs #1043–#1060 must be inventoried read-only until postrelease, then grouped by actual compatible scope, including explicit MSRV holds (base64ct, dbus-secret-service, tauri-plugin-updater >=2.13) and actual Windows/Tauri plugin parity/packaged qualifier tests. No auto-merge, no forced wholesale closure, no unbounded mega-PR and no bypass. Updated full Linear ranked portfolio.

    Separate immediate ops only: GH #1042 owner directs largest provably safe GitHub deployment-record reduction now (user sees 143), without touching protected Production/rollback/live previews/evidence or waiting for Pages scheduled deletion tomorrow. After this bounded ops checkpoint: R-15 Gate4 W1→...→v1.30 verified. Marketing/branding and dependency train remain postrelease.

    OVERRIDING MAINTAINER DECISION — 2026-10-14 ~13:14 CEST — 18 Dependabot PRs are POST-v1.30, not a pre-W1 train

    Supersedes this issue's earlier pre-W1 Dependabot train directive and GH #1042's prior train sequence. Maintainer explicitly requested "Dependabot post release soll erstmal alles so weiterlaufen". Do not merge, group into a new PR, rebase, recreate, close or auto-merge routine Dependabot PRs before v1.30.0 VERIFIED; leave them open with normal bot intake and no artificial workflow cancellation. Authenticated intake now 18 OPEN Dependabot PRs #1043–#1060; main a6ef4087270fb4ee014b73eae54bfefe33c3526b after #1041 with resulting-main CI/CD + CodeQL SUCCESS. One-off proven release-blocking security risk can go through the existing exception/admission process before release; an update being newer does not by itself qualify.

    Existing #1028 Pages-only automatic pruning is already enabled, but manual workflow_dispatch is read-only, no DELETE (run #38554851722 dry-run), next scheduled 2026-10-15 03:00Z writer opportunity. The maintainer also requests urgent immediate GitHub-Deployments UI reduction (143 reported, unverified exact count): GH #1042 now owns immediate, separately guarded GitHub API metadata cleanup of Vercel stale Preview records; do not wait for tomorrow's Pages schedule. Retain active Production, rollback and live Preview bindings; count 143 cannot be guaranteed to fall to single digits. If safe cleanup stalls on unprovable statuses, preserve them and resume R-15 W1 promptly instead of indefinite cleanup. Then Gate4→5→6→7→pre-tag truth→verified v1.30. No new workstreams or Source PRs for Dependabot now.

    The postrelease train is an existing #927/QNB-173 M8 P1 maintenance lane, after verified release: fresh bot-PR/graph inventory, immutable finite cohort, explicit MSRV/updater holds (#1043/#1045/#1047/#1056), parity checks, compatible bounded grouped integrations, independent reviews and full resulting-main gates between protected merges. Full maintained execution plan. Earlier comments are historical and do not authorize a pre-W1 train.

    Owner-directed temporary Dependabot lane — 2026-10-16 (operator record)

    Owner instruction received in this session authorizes a bounded Dependabot maintenance lane before v1.30. This narrowly supersedes the 2026-10-14 release-first ordering recorded here and in QNB-173; it does not waive technical or repository gates.

All 18 report GraphQL mergeStateStatus=BEHIND against historical base SHAs; this is not merge admission. New bot PRs after the freeze are outside the cohort pending separate owner admission.

    Start-gate evidence and current block

    • The reviewed runner node scripts/vercel-retention/cli.mjs dry-run completed on exact main 0ba4b94a4c70b36a74b2db25dd271626cafaf84d: Production ID dpl_3hiSh3SVxEwKc4oCsY1esPfLitiT, protectedProduction=13, rollbackCandidates=2, protectedPreviews=36, SAFE=0, UNKNOWN=0, writeAttempts=0, stop=null. Its gates passed for exact-main CI/CD, CodeQL, Production READY, three canonical aliases and canonical HTTP 200. Main push runs: CI / CD 38852100613 SUCCESS; CodeQL SAST 38852100651 SUCCESS.
    • Main protection is strict and requires CI Success, the PR-number CHANGELOG guard, Reviewer Governance Trust Boundary and CodeQL. Admin enforcement is on; force-push and branch deletion are disabled.
    • GitHub authentication is the existing qnbs account with repo/workflow scopes. The canonical hook path and installed hook files are present.
    • Local signer is NOT admitted: pnpm run signing:doctor was blocked by missing dependency state; direct Node doctor failed its Git signing probe. A separate temporary SSH sign/verify probe passed with the configured key, but this does not override the failed repository doctor. No commit, push, source edit or merge is permitted until this is resolved without changing signer identity or weakening policy.

    The train remains declared but NOT STARTED (MERGE_1=NOT_STARTED, clock unset).

    2026-10-16 14:55 CEST — frozen Dependabot cohort disposition

    This is the outcome checkpoint for the limited owner-authorized lane recorded in the cohort authorization. The frozen 18 PRs (#1043–#1060) remain open with unchanged heads; 21 PRs are open overall. Live main remains 0ba4b94a4c70b36a74b2db25dd271626cafaf84d. All 18 Dependabot PRs are behind main. Their terminal check runs are from 2026-10-14/15 and cannot qualify a current-base merge.

    The complete local per-PR ledger is retained in the Codex worktree. R-15/Gate 4 pause, Gate 5–7 non-admission and v1.30.0=NO_GO remain unchanged. Next candidate for fresh evaluation is the narrow Tokio update #1044, only after current-base checks and qualified review.

    2026-10-16 13:02 UTC — signing admission update

    The official repository signing doctor has now passed its isolated signed-commit probe using the already configured SSH identity. The earlier failure was caused by the managed sandbox blocking temporary Git object creation; the doctor was rerun with the documented temp-repository operation permitted. No signer identity, key, Git policy or repository history was changed.

    No source integration has started yet. Live main is still 0ba4b94a4c70b36a74b2db25dd271626cafaf84d; #1044 remains unchanged and BEHIND, and the cohort still has 18 open Dependabot PRs. A narrow Tokio update is being evaluated under the existing PR, signing, review and resulting-main gates. No merge train clock has started.

    2026-10-17 — MERGE_1 resulting-main ledger for PR #1076

    Train: dep-20261016T122613Z-main-0ba4b94-cohort-1043-1060. PR #1076 is merge 1 of the 12-merge ceiling. The resulting-main gates were terminal by 2026-10-16T14:14:30Z; this is the clock origin, not a restart. Deadline: 2026-10-17T14:14:30Z.

    Main: a710b39bb2aeecee9a1e580cc367c930c45b58c1, first parent 0ba4b94a4c70b36a74b2db25dd271626cafaf84d; GitHub reports a valid commit signature. src-tauri/Cargo.lock now contains Tokio 1.53.2 and the Unreleased changelog records PR #1076. Original bot PR #1044 is closed, not merged.

    Resulting-main gates: CI / CD run 38910695945 completed success at 14:14:30Z; its full applicable quality, Rust, security, build, Storybook, E2E, and browser jobs succeeded. Path-gated Core Rust, secure-store platform evidence, PR-size governance, and DeepSource were skipped. CodeQL run 38910695491 completed success at 13:52:00Z. GitHub Pages deployment 7121175822 succeeded on this SHA; the site, manifest.json, JS, and CSS returned HTTP 200.

    Vercel Production dpl_iQYUJpYnG4rbP41UgMWsap7gjZTY is READY on this SHA (ready at 13:49:23.966Z). All three canonical/Main aliases are bound to that deployment; the canonical host returned HTTP 200. Former Production dpl_3hiSh3SVxEwKc4oCsY1esPfLitiT remains READY and present as a rollback candidate. No contradictory alias, promotion, or rollback state was observed. Main remains protected with strict required checks and admin enforcement.

    Retention: The active mode remains ordinary per-merge retention with Claude Code CLI as the destructive writer. The predeclared bounded train defers Preview housekeeping only. The canonical dry-run ended with provider-read-failed, writeAttempts=0; it produced no SAFE/UNKNOWN classification, so no terminal or no-op retention pass is claimed. A separate authenticated read inventory returned 53 Vercel deployments and 55 aliases, but that is not a substitute for the runner's classification. No Vercel deployment or alias was changed. Full retention remains due at train end under the named writer.

    Cohort: 17 original Dependabot PRs remain open. #1043 moved to head 26f79ed3fe36a67ae2991bfbf9e0d25e7df7ccfa against this main; its Node 22/24 CI jobs fail, its updater change conflicts with the Rust updater/MSRV boundary, and its current bot review channels provide no substantive review. The other 16 open cohort PRs retain old bases and lack fresh substantive review; none is admitted for merge by this readback. GATE4_TERMINAL=NO, Claude's feature pause remains active, and v1.30.0=NO_GO.

    Material train update — 2026-10-17T10:50Z (dependency paths resolved)

    Train remains dep-20261016T122613Z-main-0ba4b94-cohort-1043-1060, origin 2026-10-16T14:14:30Z, fixed deadline 2026-10-17T14:14:30Z, MERGE_COUNT=1/12 (#1076), current main a710b39bb2aeecee9a1e580cc367c930c45b58c1.

    A narrow signed current-main successor for the stale #1051 artifact-download bump is open as #1077, head 20dfe033e5dea20fb69eeef5c3d09eede89e571f, exact base a710b39b.... Local admission, verified signature, CodeQL, CodeAnt, CodeRabbit, Codex and Sourcery completed; reviews generated no actionable findings. It is not merge-ready: hosted CI failed at Security Audit → OSV vulnerability scan, so CI Success is also FAILURE.

    OSV scanned the unchanged lockfiles and found 6 known vulnerabilities across zip@4.6.1 and zip@8.6.0: RUSTSEC-2026-0367/0368/0369 (2 Critical, 2 High, 2 Unknown). Advisories were published Oct 9–10 and modified Oct 16; they are not caused by #1077's workflow-only diff. OSV marks zip@9.0.0 as fixed; upstream zip 9.0.0 declares rust-version = 1.88, incompatible with the binding Rust MSRV 1.77.2.

    Workspace reverse dependency paths are now both confirmed:

    • zip@4.6.1 → tauri-plugin-updater@2.12.0 → worldscript-studio
    • zip@8.6.0 → candle-core@0.11.0 → worldscript-studio, and candle-core@0.11.0 → candle-nn@0.11.0 → worldscript-studio

    No ignore, gate weakening, or merge was applied. The current security gate blocks merge admission until a compatible upstream fix or explicit policy resolution exists. The train clock and merge cap are unchanged. Independent GH Preview metadata cleanup continues; no Vercel-platform writer action was taken.

    Terminal disposition — 2026-10-17T15:22:09Z

    Live GitHub ref remains exactly a710b39bb2aeecee9a1e580cc367c930c45b58c1. The immutable train deadline elapsed at 2026-10-17T14:14:30Z; the train is CLOSED, MERGE_COUNT=1/12, no implicit restart/extension, and no merge was attempted after expiry. Exact-current-main push CI/CD, CodeQL, Pages, Vercel Production and aliases remain as previously verified; no postmerge gates were due because Main did not change.

    #1077 remains open, non-draft, head 20dfe033e5dea20fb69eeef5c3d09eede89e571f, based on exact Main a710b39..., GitHub mergeability blocked. Current checks: CodeQL SUCCESS; Security Audit FAILURE because OSV findings above; CI Success FAILURE; reviewer governance and CodeAnt gates SUCCESS. Current review/inline channels show no actionable finding, but this does not override the security failure or expired train. Original #1051 stays open until a verified successor merge; no blind close.

    All original cohort members now have a terminal train disposition:

    Thus 17 original bot PRs remain open (#1043, #1045–#1060); #1044 is closed-unmerged via #1076. #1021/#1022/#1025 remained out of scope. Next action is not to resume this train: resolve the upstream zip/MSRV security conflict, then require an explicit new owner decision and new bounded cohort before any merge. Claude R-15 pause, Gate 4 non-terminal, Gates 5–7 NOT_ADMITTED, v1.30 NO_GO, and Vercel platform writer authority are unchanged.

    Follow-up: terminal train and ZIP/MSRV evidence — 2026-10-17T15:39:13Z

    The old train remains CLOSED/EXPIRED at its immutable 2026-10-17T14:14:30Z deadline with MERGE_COUNT=1/12 (#1076 only). No later merge, restart, extension, or auto-merge is admitted. Main remains a710b39. Its scheduled Security Audit/OSV run 38998852956 is FAILURE; see run. #1077 run 39024385683 still has Security Audit and CI Success FAILURE; CodeQL passes and the lockfiles are unchanged.

    New read-only reachability evidence: no first-party Rust ZIP extract API callsite was found. Updater 2.12.0's Windows path extracts ZIP updates after signed downloadAndInstall; the current feed is a signed setup executable, not ZIP. zip 4.6.1 resolves only for Windows in this graph. Optional rust-compute is off by default; Candle's zip 8.6.0 code reads archive entries rather than extracting. This narrows demonstrated exposure but leaves signed supply-chain and downstream feature use unqualified; exploitability remains UNKNOWN.

    No source fix, ignore, MSRV change, or new cohort was admitted. All frozen original PR dispositions remain as in this receipt; #1077 is not merge-ready. Claude remains the named Vercel platform writer; its retention is not terminal. R-15 pause and v1.30 NO_GO remain unchanged.

    Conditional successor after current train closes — owner-directed planning, 2026-10-17

    IMPORTANT: This is a future execution plan, not a new merge-train declaration or release/security waiver. The active finite train dep-20261016T122613Z-main-0ba4b94-cohort-1043-1060 expires irreversibly at 2026-10-17 14:14:30Z (16:14:30 CEST), with 1 confirmed merge (#1076 → main=a710b39bb2aeecee9a1e580cc367c930c45b58c1) to date. Clock expiry does not reset the 12-merge count, admit another epoch, make any pending PR mergeable, or resume paused Claude.

    Owner's target order after terminal old-train receipt: (A) finish independently authorized GitHub Preview metadata cleanup #1042 as SAFE-only batches, retaining Production/Pages/holds; most recent recorded census 109=70 Preview+30 Production+9 Pages after batch 8, all confirmed per-ID inactive 201 → DELETE 204 → GET 404; (B) complete Vercel platform retention #627 with the policy-named Claude Code CLI writer, only after explicit resume; current Codex dry-run SAFE=2/UNKNOWN=0 is not a terminal reconcile or writer-transfer; (C) resolve or obtain explicit security owner disposition for OSV findings RUSTSEC-2026-0367/0368/0369 on zip 4.6.1/8.6.0 (tauri updater + candle-core paths), patched version zip>=9 requiring upstream Rust 1.88 versus declared WorldScript 1.77.2, without an invented ignore/toolchain uplift; (D) after all requisite gates, fresh independently admitted bounded successor train with brand-new immutable main/cohort heads, exact-head CI/OSV/CodeQL/reviewer/signing admission and exact-main postmerge gates/retention between protected merges. Never backdate, extend, or recycle the existing train. #1077 is a signed reviewed successor for #1051 but blocked by a real OSV failure; mergeable=true is insufficient.

    Authority boundaries: Future prompt input constitutes a request to execute this conditional plan, not authorization to bypass unavailable CI, raise MSRV, weaken scanner, remove Production/rollback, switch Vercel platform writer, release v1.30, or resume R-15 Gates4–7. Post-v1.30 M8 portfolio remains preserved; no Done status or auto-merge is warranted now.

    Canonical operational plan: Linear QNB-173 — Security-first Dependabot-Nachfolge-Train nach Retention. Security owner #911/QNB-162; MSRV owner #572/QNB-55; retention #627/QNB-67. This GH comment is a planning record; NEW_TRAIN=NOT_DECLARED / MERGES=NO.

    Maintainer scope refinement — 2026-10-17 — Codex maintenance only, Claude stays paused

    This newer explicit owner direction supersedes the older "WAIT_CLAUDE_RESUME" branch of the successor plan only for the execution-operator identity: Codex CLI local Ubuntu/VS Code now owns maintenance including SAFE-only Vercel Preview platform retention #627, GitHub stale Deployment metadata classification, focused ZIP/OSV dependency-security fixes, and an eventual newly admitted finite Dependabot train. Claude remains PAUSED_BY_OWNER. Authoritative bounded Vercel writer-transfer decision: GH #627, mirrored to QNB-67/QNB-173 and in the updated plan.

    Security path selected: Keep DECLARED_MSRV=Rust 1.77.2; Codex may implement a focused, independently reviewed dependency/security remediation within that floor, if resolver/OSV/CI/cross-platform proofs support one. Read-only requalification for four desktop graphs with packages declaring Rust up to 1.89.0 is required; metadata alone does not establish compile error. No automatic floor increase; no OSV ignore, check weakening, unproved reachability assertion, or merge under red Security Audit. Current-main #1077 remains blocked.

    Sequence: #1042 terminal metadata SAFE=0/UNKNOWN=0/44 HOLD, last 83 total (do not force deletions) → #627 full current-main canonical retention by newly designated local Codex CLI only after verification of writer supersession against checked-in policy/AGENTS and intact safety gates → standalone ZIP dependency security repair and honest green Security Audit (or precise justified HOLD) → new independently admitted immutable Dependabot train, <=12 merges/<=24h with per-head and resulting-main gates and per-merge #627 proof. Old epoch expired 2026-10-17T14:14:30Z with 1 merge (#1076), and must NOT be resumed/restarted. No ordinary R-15/Gate4–7 work, tags, promotions, releases or owner identity switch. A single prompt is an execution instruction, never proof that a gate passed.

    If policy's named Claude text cannot legally be superseded by a dated owner decision until a protected policy-only PR is merged, obtain that narrow policy correction through required normal gates, or halt writes and identify the exact unresolved contradiction; no blind mutation.

    Retention gate advanced; successor train still not admitted — 2026-10-17T16:11:49Z

    The owner-delegated canonical Vercel SAFE-only pass is now state-verified at exact main a710b39: one safe old Preview dpl_FfCkLtaeCfL8rLcX2CRzLUsgy9QL was deleted, its scoped GET returned semantic 404, protected objects/aliases/Production remained present, and a fresh Node 22.23.3 canonical dry-run reports SAFE=0/UNKNOWN=0/stop=null. Full technical facts and the disclosed Node 24.18.0 execution deviation are in GH #627 terminal-state receipt.

    This clears the current retention state only. The old train remains EXPIRED at 2026-10-17T14:14:30Z with one merge (#1076); no restart or new train declaration. Exact-main CI/CD 38910695945 and CodeQL 38910695491 succeeded, but scheduled OSV run 38998852956 failed on unchanged main for ZIP advisories. #1077 remains blocked; no source fix or dependency merge occurred. Keep NEW_TRAIN=NOT_DECLARED until ZIP/MSRV remediation is admitted and OSV is genuinely green. Claude remains paused; v1.30 remains NO_GO.

    Continuous Codex maintenance — 2026-10-17

    Owner directs one comprehensive execution session instead of repetitive read-only final reports. Prior Dependabot train EXPIRED with 1 merge #1076; NEW_TRAIN remains NOT_DECLARED. Vercel #627 successfully removed one actual Preview and verified Node22 poststate with historical Node24 deviation recorded; GitHub #1042 SAFE 0 / HOLD 44. Do not manufacture further cleanup.

    Current red OSV on unchanged ZIP graph blocks every source merge requiring that gate. Move immediately to a bounded isolated technical ZIP security backport/replacement prototype, reproducible tests, MSRV and cross-platform evidence. Preserve declared Rust 1.77.2, no bypass/OSV ignore/hidden package identity/publishing without required approvals. Advance useful independent PR review and compatibility evidence while waiting for actual security fix; avoid opening many known-failing PRs. Only when remediation is genuinely OSV-clean on main and retention still terminal declare a NEW finite bounded Cohort with fresh heads and all exact-head/resulting-main gates. No regular R-15 source work. Don't repeat owner choice menu unless a specific unresolvable maintained-fork decision remains after a real proof attempt.
