Requirement and failure

Rocky Linux 9's libcurl 7.76.1 fails the validator's required 7.87.0 runtime minimum. Move the experimental RPM compatibility target to Rocky Linux 10 while retaining the libcurl version and asynchronous DNS checks.

Changes

  • Pin the Rocky Linux 10 base image and PGDG EL10 repository bootstrap RPM by digest.
  • Move the GitHub Actions and local Compose compatibility targets to Rocky Linux 10.
  • Remove the transient RPM platform list from FEATURES.md; retain platform details in docs/rpm-platforms.md.
  • Remove EL9-specific repository rewriting and module disabling.

Trust boundary and compatibility

The runtime libcurl check is unchanged, so an incompatible libcurl still fails verification. Rocky Linux 9 is no longer a compatibility target. Rocky Linux 10 remains experimental and is not a supported production platform. Reverting this commit restores the previous CI configuration.

Verification

  • docker compose -f compose.rpm-test.yml build rocky10 — passed.
  • On an isolated copy of the proposed branch, verify-dev packagecheck — passed; runtime output: libcurl 8.12.1; DNS resolver: threaded.
  • sh scripts/ci/check-source-tree.sh, sh tests/ci/test_dependency_installers.sh, and Compose configuration checks — passed.

Security-sensitive workflow and specification changes require independent review before merge.
