docs: agents give the user the create-db claim URL every time - #8653
A database from npx create-db is deleted after 24 hours unless someone opens its claim URL and claims it. When an agent runs the command, the agent is often the only one that sees that URL. These pages now tell the agent to pass it on every time.
Changes
AI prompts (ai/prompts/nextjs, nuxt, astro): the agent ran npx create-db and set DATABASE_URL, but the claim URL was never mentioned. Without it, the app's database disappears the next day.
The create-db rule in each prompt's rules list now ends with "give the user the claim URL it prints".
In Next.js and Nuxt, the IMPORTANT note and the step-by-step setup each get one sentence: if the agent ran npx create-db, give the user the claim URL, with the 24-hour deadline.
postgres/npx-create-db: the agent rules and the AGENTS.md block said to show the claimUrl only "when the work should be kept", which is a call the agent makes on its own. They now say to show the claimUrl and the deletion time every time.
Blog (give-your-agent-a-database, agents-md-for-databases): the agent loop and the AGENTS.md snippets follow the same rule. Titles, descriptions and first paragraphs are unchanged.
create-db 1.3.0 output (postgres/npx-create-db): feat(create-db): hand the claim URL on in every output mode create-db#86 shipped as create-db 1.3.0 on 2026-10-29. It prints the claim URL and deletion time with --env, and on stderr with --quiet; --json adds nextStep. The --env sentence (it said "prints only a confirmation"), the agent rule, the --json example (now with nextStep) and the --env/--quiet rows of the flag table match that.
Delegated path (ai/prompts/nextjs, nuxt): if the user ran npx create-db, the agent reminds them to open the claim URL in their output.
No links or frontmatter changed. The only code-sample change is the nextStep field in the --json example.
Updated database setup guidance across AI assistant and framework guides to explain how to share the claim URL and deletion time, and that unclaimed databases are deleted after 24 hours.
Clarified that agents should show both the claim URL and deletion date whenever a database is created or a task ends.
Updated CLI guidance for claim details shown with --env, --json, and --quiet, including that --quiet writes the claim line to stderr.
A create-db database is deleted after 24 hours unless someone opens its
claim URL. The AI prompts had agents run npx create-db without ever
mentioning the claim URL, and the create-db page and the two agent blog
posts told agents to show it only "if the work should be kept", a call
the agent makes on its own.
- AI prompts (Next.js, Nuxt, Astro): give the user the claim URL that
npx create-db printed, with the 24-hour deadline.
- npx-create-db page and its AGENTS.md block: show the claimUrl and the
deletion time every time.
- Blog posts give-your-agent-a-database and agents-md-for-databases:
same rule in the agent loop and the AGENTS.md snippets.

Summary
Create-db claim output and agent guidance apps/docs/content/docs/postgres/npx-create-db.mdx
The CLI documentation describes claim URL and deletion-time output for --env, --json, and --quiet. Agent instructions require showing both values every time a database is created.
The prompts instruct agents or users to provide the claim URL and deletion time. They state that the database is deleted after 24 hours unless claimed.
Blog agent instructions apps/blog/content/blog/agents-md-for-databases/index.mdx, apps/blog/content/blog/give-your-agent-a-database/index.mdx
The instructions require showing both the claim URL and deletion date. One end-of-task instruction also specifies that the agent does nothing else afterward.
The updated documentation covers the claim URL and deletion deadline across the reviewed framework prompts, so the PR is mergeable.

Explanation
The title "docs: agents give the user the create-db claim URL every time" matches the main change. The PR updates the AI prompts, the npx create-db docs, and the blog posts so agents always show the claim URL and deletion time after a database is created. The title is short, specific, and uses the conventional docs: prefix. It omits the deletion-time part of the change, which is acceptable because the title does not need to cover every detail.
