Open findings: none Change walkthroughChange walkthroughThis PR adds a two-bullet Troubleshooting section to README.md, placed between Known limitations and Security. It is documentation only — no code, action metadata, or tests are touched. How it fits. The new section slots naturally into the README's existing structure: it leans on the Quick start workflow as the recovery path, complements Known limitations (install detection covering npm/bun lockfiles explains why the setup job's from-scratch install can fail on peer-dependency conflicts), and stays consistent with the Security section's description of the OIDC exchange matching the repository against the workspace connection. The claims about Console-side behavior (setup job, waiting state) are external to this repository and unverifiable from the code, but they do not contradict anything the README already documents. |
Why
Two states around the Console's repository connection are hard to decode from the outside. The Console's setup job can fail at its install step (it resolves dependencies from scratch, so a peer-dependency conflict a committed lockfile would avoid can break it), and when it does, the pull request that would have added the Quick-start workflow never appears and nothing points back at this action. The Console then shows "Waiting for GitHub to start the first deployment", which reads as if pushing will fix it, but no push helps until a workflow with this action exists on the branch.
Change
A Troubleshooting section in the README, between Known limitations and Security, covering both states. Docs only.
