PostEverywhere examples

Short, runnable examples that show how to schedule social media posts with PostEverywhere from AI agents and from code. PostEverywhere posts to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram and Discord, and publishes blog posts to WordPress. Each folder is on its own: it has a README, the smallest code that works, and a .env.example file.

Examples

Folder Language What it shows
mcp/claude-code No code Connect Claude Code to the hosted MCP server, or install the Claude plugin
mcp/cursor JSON config Add the hosted MCP server to Cursor
mcp/chatgpt No code Add PostEverywhere to ChatGPT as a connector
openai-agents-python Python OpenAI Agents SDK agent that uses the hosted MCP server to draft a post
langchain-python Python LangChain agent with three custom tools that call the REST API
vercel-ai-sdk TypeScript Vercel AI SDK tool() helpers that draft a post
node-sdk JavaScript @posteverywhere/sdk: list accounts, schedule a post for 9am tomorrow, check results
curl Shell The core REST calls with curl
rss-to-social Python Turn new RSS feed items into draft posts

Before you start

  1. Create a PostEverywhere account at posteverywhere.ai and connect at least one social account.
  2. Create an API key at app.posteverywhere.ai/developers. Keys start with pe_live_.
  3. Copy .env.example to .env in the example folder and add your key.

Drafts first

Every agent example creates posts as drafts ("draft": true). A draft does not publish. You review it in the PostEverywhere app, then schedule it there or with POST /posts/{id}/schedule. Only change this when you want the agent to publish without a review step.

API basics

  • Base URL: https://app.posteverywhere.ai/api/v1
  • Auth header: Authorization: Bearer pe_live_...
  • Every response has the same shape: { "data": ..., "error": null, "meta": { ... } }. On failure, data is null and error has a code and a message.
  • A 429 response means you hit a rate limit. Wait for the number of seconds in the Retry-After header, then try again.
