With pgEdge, get 100% open-source, enterprise-grade Postgres out-of-the-box designed for performance and enterprise-grade functionality at any scale.

pgEdge delivers PostgreSQL solutions for agentic AI application development, maximum high availability, ultra-low latency, zero downtime maintenance, and data residency across deployment options and cloud regions. Single instances can be scaled up to active-active (multi-master) distributed deployments in a matter of minutes, giving you the freedom and flexibility to shift your data needs for your business instantly.

Proudly 100% open-source (under the OSI-approved PostgreSQL license) and 100% PostgreSQL compatible, we're here to help you enable scalable, flexible, and fault-tolerant Postgres deployments no matter where your clusters are - with no vendor lock-in.

pgEdge stays up-to-date with the latest PostgreSQL releases with same-day patches, ensuring that all the most recent enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates for each release are available without delay.

Quickstart

All of our tools & extensions for PostgreSQL are available to self-host here on GitHub. However, if you'd like a more out-of-the-box setup, you can download pgEdge Enterprise Postgres through the secure installer on our website. Still free and open-source, with community PostgreSQL, pgAdmin, pgBouncer, and pgBackRest installed alongside all pgEdge tools & products for a complete enterprise-ready stack.

Check out the pgEdge Enterprise Postgres documentation to learn more about what's included.

Deployment options

We offer virtual machine, bare metal, Kubernetes, Docker, and fully-managed cloud deployment options for all of our offerings. The pgEdge Developer Hub on our website will walk you through how to get started from the all-in-one pgEdge Enterprise Postgres installation option. Otherwise, check out the installation instructions for each repository if you are individually setting up different tools & extensions.

Another way to manage your PostgreSQL clusters with pgEdge components is to use the Control Plane, a declarative API that is designed to simplify the management and orchestration of Postrges databases. Written in Golang, with a Docker Compose setup available for easily setting up a local development environment.
