Summary
The DeepThinking component provides a visually distinct, collapsible card for AI reasoning within the Chatbot Message component. However, it's designed for chat contexts and there's no equivalent standard treatment for non-chat UIs.
Non-chat contexts (dashboards, detail panels, operational UIs) that display both AI reasoning traces and AI conclusions need a standard way to visually distinguish "the AI's internal thinking" from "the AI's output to the user." Currently, teams must manually compose Card + ExpandableSection with no standard styling convention.
Possible approaches
Use case
An operations UI showing an AI diagnostic where the reasoning steps need to be visually separated from the final recommendation.
Context
This gap was identified during review of the Chain of Thought AI UX standard (Red Hat UXD, AUX-140).
Jira Issue: PF-4691
