What and why

This adds three badges next to the existing pkg.go.dev and CI badges: latest version (semver-sorted tag), licence and Go version (from go.mod). All of them are generated live by shields.io, so unlike the static version badges removed in the docs uplift, they cannot go stale.

How it was tested

  • Docs only. go build/vet unaffected.
  • A line is added under ## [Unreleased] in CHANGELOG.md.
  • Not verified from my environment: its network policy blocks shields.io. The URLs use shields.io's documented formats. Please check that they render on this PR's rich diff. The Go badge shows the go directive (minimum Go version), not the pinned toolchain.

Compatibility

No exported API change.

CI status, licence and the Go version from go.mod, all generated live by
GitHub and shields.io, so they cannot go stale like the static version
badges removed in the documentation uplift.
