MInecraft 1.20.1 Does not work with forge for me. #7813

Please confirm the following.

• I checked the existing issues for duplicate problems
• I have tried resolving the issue using the support portal
• I have ensured my Modrinth App installation is up to date

Describe the bug

I Can never seem to even install, or run, a Modpack with Minecraft game version 1.20.1. I have had this issue for years and always thought it would resolve itself. I have no clue how to replicate it. I suspect the problem is with the my Java installation but I do not know how to safely reinstall it without breaking anything. When I do attempt it simply states "Loader setup failed" and copying details provides a massive wall of text.
