npm's `latest` tag still points at v1, so a plain install silently gives readers and agents the wrong major version. State it where they install: - Getting Started explains why every command uses `@beta`, what a plain install gets, and links the v1 docs and the migration guide (which also gives the migration guide its first in-body link). - The migration guide says v2 is published under the `beta` tag. - The docs MCP server sends the same version hint to connecting agents as its `instructions`, which Blume also uses as its ai-catalog entry. ApprovabilityVerdict: Approved at Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This PR makes a focused documentation update clarifying the v2 beta install tag and directing v1 users to the correct docs. It also updates existing MCP agent guidance and catalog text, without changing application request behavior, APIs, schemas, or infrastructure. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Docs-only PR adding a v2-beta version hint in three places so readers and AI agents don't mix v1 and v2 APIs.
blume.config.tsMCP instructions — newagents.mcp.instructionsstring naming the v2 beta, the@betainstall, and where v1 lives. ValidMcpConfigfield, used both as the connecting-agent hint and the ai-catalog MCP description.- Getting Started paragraph — states the docs cover v2 beta, that every install command uses
@beta, that a plain install is v1, and links the v1 docs plus the migration guide. - Migrating from v1 — the "Update Packages" step now says v2 ships under the
betatag.
I verified the load-bearing claims: npm latest for @orpc/server and @orpc/client is 1.16.1 while beta is 2.0.0-beta.45, https://v1.orpc.dev resolves and is already referenced by the banner/footer/skills, agents.mcp.instructions is a real Blume 2.2.3 option (consumed at ai-catalog.ts:141), and no install command in the docs omits @beta.

Why
npm's
latesttag for@orpc/serverand@orpc/clientis still1.16.1(v2 is2.0.0-beta.45underbeta), so a plainnpm installgives v1 while orpc.dev documents v2. Every install command on the site already uses@beta, and the header banner says "v2 beta", but the banner is not in the page Markdown,llms-full.txt, or MCP output, and nothing in the page body says why@betais there. Readers and AI assistants can end up mixing v1 and v2 APIs.Changes
@beta), that a plain install gets v1, and links the v1 docs and the migration guide. It is plain prose rather than a callout, so it also gives/docs/migrations/from-v1its first in-body link (Blume's orphan check skips callouts; orphan pages go from 27 to 26).betatag, so installing without@betagives you v1.agents.mcp.instructionswith the same version hint. Blume sends it to connecting agents on initialize and also uses it as the MCP entry's description in/.well-known/ai-catalog.json.llms.txtalready carries this note throughagents.llmsTxt.details(#2313), so it is not repeated there. The Getting Started paragraph, the migration guide sentence and the MCP instructions need updating when v2 leaves beta.Verification
pnpm buildinapps/content(OG images off locally, since the sandbox can't fetch fonts): the new text shows up indocs/getting-started.md,llms-full.txt,ai-catalog.json, and the MCP data chunk.blume audit:/docs/migrations/from-v1is no longer listed as an orphan.pnpm docs:validatepasses (0 backlink errors, no broken links), and eslint is clean onblume.config.ts.Generated by Claude Code
