On running extentions page the pyton extention says "Cannot register 'python.venvPath', This property is already registered - WSL:Ubuntu. I don't know if it is a bug or something.

Hi! Seeing from the logs it looks like you are using another shipped version and I am only able to assist with official VS Code builds. If you try it on VS Code and face the same problem please comment and I will re-open. Thanks!

I'm a newbie in your "unofficial VS Code build", but I have had the same error and I solved it disabling the extension "Python Environments": you will lose that extension, but you might recover ms-python and the extensions that depend on it (Python Debugger, Ruff, many others)
