shellStartup not working on remote setup with vscode-server

🤖 Thanks for passing along this report. We need a reproducible remote setup to investigate: can someone seeing this share the remote type (SSH/WSL/container), remote OS and shell, extension version, python-envs.terminal.autoActivationType value, what happens when opening a new terminal, and the Python Environments trace output? Please also say whether command activation works in the same setup.
