Johannes Schindelin (@dscho) This appears to be sufficient to address the
cherry-pick --no-commit->restore --staged .issues, but I could easily have broken other things and the field I added to index state (added_entries_skip_worktree) feels like the wrong way to address this. I'd appreciate your feedback.
