This explanation was unusable as the paths used got you stuck; I have improved that by first setting up a test project, and then setting up the widget in a sub folder. I have also added example paths. Furthermore, the component select for the widget builder was missing (functional). I also made some things easier to read. It would help if this could be tested and updated. I also have a new screenshot for after the yo command, but I cannot upload files anymore; please send an email to wouter.penris@ordina.nl and I'd be happy to send an updated image for line 119. Best regards, Wouter

Apologies for waiting to address your PR for so long. We've been updating this documentation on our own for a few months, then it was swept up in some major reorganizations (when we combined HowTos and Refguide into a unified guide). But I've had a look at your PR as I am going through all our older PRs/Issues and I appreciate all the improvements to guidance you've added. I've rejected your suggestion of reversing the order of the Scaffolding and Test Project sections, but implemented almost every other one of your changes here: #12203 Thank you in particular for the small touches that help users know when they need to switch from one task/window to another. As the person who did the original validation of the document, I can agree that switching from task to task is indeed one of the tougher aspects of this tutorial. Thank you for contributing to the Mendix documentation, Connor |
