Architecture for multi user

Hello, thank you first of all for the amazing work on tasknotes and mdbase! I have been a long time tasknotes user and have seen it mature and think the mdbase idea is really good. Thank you!

I’ve been playing in my head with the idea of creating a small grocery app on top of mdbase. For that it would be handy if my family could use it. From the docs I’m a bit unsure how to handle multi user scenarios. I don’t think there is a way to give access to a collection to another account?

Is something in the works for this, or perhaps I am missing something?

Hi @jhoogeboom . The shared grocery app sounds like a great idea--please let me know if you make any progress on this!

I've actually just enabled collection-sharing feature in the last few hours. To share a collection, select a collection and navigate to the "Overview" page of the mdbase connect portal: https://editor.mdbase.dev/connect. When a collection has been shared with a user, they will be able to select that collection to open it in mdbase-compatible applications (such as a grocery app).

I'd be very keen to hear how you find this feature, and if you run into any issues. For the moment, users are limited to sharing hosted collections, but I'll be aiming to enable sharing of local/relay collections as well.
