The release PR #851 proposes 0.2.0 as the first release of launchdarkly-java-server-sdk-observability. The manifest was seeded with 0.1.0, but that version was never tagged, so release-please treated it as already released and bumped it for the feat: commit from #381. This PR makes the first release 0.1.0.

  • Release-As: 0.1.0 footer. The squash commit must carry it. Auto-merge is set with that commit message, so approving this PR is enough.
  • Touches only the Java path. This repo's release-please applies a commit that touches no files to every package (includeEmpty: true). An empty Release-As commit would have reset Python, .NET, Android and the rest to 0.1.0. Changing a file under sdk/@launchdarkly/observability-java/ scopes the footer to that package.
  • Empties CHANGELOG.md. With the old # Changelog placeholder, release-please left a stray ## Changelog heading under the new entry. An empty file lets it write the heading itself.

After this merges, release-please regenerates #851 at 0.1.0. The changelog there still needs an unrelated React Native entry (#434) removed before it's merged.

Note

Overview
Prepares the Java observability SDK for its first release as 0.1.0 via release-please by scoping a Release-As: 0.1.0 squash commit to this package only.

CHANGELOG.md is cleared (the # Changelog placeholder is removed) so release-please can own the heading and avoid a duplicate ## Changelog under the new release entry. No application or SDK runtime code changes.

The manifest was seeded with 0.1.0, which was never tagged, so release-please
proposed 0.2.0 as the first release. This commit touches only the Java path, so
the footer applies to that package alone. The changelog is emptied so
release-please writes its own heading instead of a stray "## Changelog".
