i like building stuff that does the boring part for you. lately that's been video: teaching a pc to sit through hours of footage so nobody else has to. mostly python, a bit of computer vision, way too much ffmpeg.

long videos in, shorts out. podcasts, vlogs, tutorials, streams. runs on your own pc, free, no watermark. built it solo, shipped it 38 times since august.
- whisper transcribes, an llm picks the moments, a vision model double-checks them
- finds your webcam by the one thing a game can't fake: it doesn't move
- follows whoever's talking. 86–96% of the time, vs 10–73% for "just crop the biggest face"
- reads your views back and only changes its mind when the stats actually say so
- one-file installers, updates itself, posts straight to youtube
