🧠 MindForge

MindForge is a decentralized web application (dApp) designed with a robust separate frontend and backend architecture. It integrates traditional web services with blockchain technology for secure, transparent operations.

📋 Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following installed on your machine:

  • Node.js (v14 or higher)
  • npm (Node Package Manager)
  • Git
  • MetaMask (or any Ethereum-compatible browser wallet)

🚀 Installation Guide

Follow these steps to set up the project locally.

1. Clone the Repository

Open your terminal and run:

git clone [https://github.com/jpsiddharth2008/MindForge.git](https://github.com/jpsiddharth2008/MindForge.git)
cd MindForge

2. Backend Setup
The backend handles the server logic, blockchain interactions via Ethers.js, and database connections.

Navigate to the backend folder:

Bash
cd backend
Install Dependencies:

Bash
npm install
Configure Environment Variables: Create a new file named .env inside the backend folder and add your credentials:

Code snippet
PORT=5000
AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=your_key_here
AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=your_secret_here
CONTRACT_ADDRESS=your_smart_contract_address
# Add your RPC URL or Private Key if needed for Ethers.js
Start the Server:

Bash
npm start
3. Frontend Setup
The frontend provides the user interface for interacting with the dApp.

Open a new terminal and navigate to the frontend folder:

Bash
cd frontend
Install Dependencies:

Bash
npm install
Start the Application:

Bash
npm run dev
Open in Browser: Navigate to the local URL provided in your terminal (usually http://localhost:5173).
