Release metadata for v1.7.6: workspace version bump, Cargo.lock, and the
changelog entry. No source changes — everything in this release is already on
development.

What ships in 1.7.6

A background-task tool for long commands, model pickers grouped by where the
model runs, and a shorter README. No protocol change, so an editor sees a
1.7.5-shaped agent.

Added

• monitor_command follows a background task in one tool call — waits for exit, an until pattern, or a timeout (300 s default, 600 s max). One updating card in an editor instead of a column of command_output cards eating the turn's tool rounds (Tool: better monitor tool #253).

Changed

• command_output, monitor_command and kill_command cards name the task and its command.
• /models and the editor's model picker group models by where they run, on-device or cloud (Group /models by inference mode in ACP clients #264, Group the ACP model picker by inference type #265).

Fixed

• The winget PR description gives the version of the release it was filed for (Fix Winget PR description version wording #267).

Docs

• Shorter README, details moved into docs. Android Studio documented, JetBrains and download links corrected (Shorten the README and move details into docs #266).

• cargo clippy --tests -- -D warnings — clean
• cargo test --locked — pass

After merge

development → main, signed tag v1.7.6 on the merge commit, which is what
triggers the release workflows.
