request: include version number in release zip filename #745

Closed

Description

@DarthBo

Currently the release zipfile is always called sentry-native.zip, could that be changed so the filename includes the version number, eg sentry-native-0.5.0.zip?

The auto-generated source tarballs already follow this pattern, but they don't include the submodules.

It would greatly simplify caching/mirroring the file as a dependency in automated build systems.
I'm sure it would also help with messy download folders (sentry-native (7).zip anyone?).

Thanks for your consideration.

    Fixed by #2105 in the v1 branch - will be available in a 1.0 prerelease in the near future.
