Anthropic is retiring Claude Sonnet 4.5 on the Claude API, so the English docs now point at Sonnet 5.5, its recommended replacement.
anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-5toanthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5, which is the ID the gateway lists. The provider-import example on the guide's intro line readclaude-sonnet-4-5-20250514, which was never a valid ID. It's nowclaude-sonnet-5-5.anthropic("claude-4.5-sonnet"), which isn't a valid model ID, so the snippet failed as written. It now usesclaude-sonnet-5-5.None of these samples set
temperature, a forcedtoolChoice, or prefill, so they work on Sonnet 5.5 as written. Only English sources change; the localized copies come from the translation sync.
