Based on discussion with the es-distributed team, provides some lightweight guidance on choosing an install method:

the gist:

1. do whatever your org/env requires - they are all fine
2. docker/rpm/deb are more batteries included (mild recommendation over tar/zip if #1 doesn't apply)
3. tar/zip require a little more effort
