Docker Desktop setup fails with HTTP 500 on Finish (macOS) #745

Docker Desktop does not complete its initial setup. On the “Finish setting up Docker Desktop” screen, I see “HTTP 500: Internal Server Error”.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Docker Desktop on macOS.
- On the setup screen, select “Use recommended settings” and click “Finish”.
- Enter the macOS password when prompted. The setup returns to the same HTTP 500 error.
- I also tried “Use advanced settings”; the same error appears.
Expected: Docker Desktop completes setup and opens normally.
Actual: Setup remains blocked by HTTP 500.
The diagnostics bundle was uploaded successfully. Its ID is included below.

Hi, thanks for the report and for sending the diagnostics. Sorry the setup keeps stopping on you.
May I know if Docker Desktop successfully start on this machine before?
Can you close Docker Desktop. Use "Activity Monitor" to make sure no Docker processes is running. (Search using "docker" and if you see any processes name with docker (for example:
com.docker.backend,com.docker.vmnetd, or etc), kill them manually). Then, start Docker Desktop.
