Motivation
We would like to adopt pangeo tools and data formats, to move compute from google earth engine so it could be run locally or in a data orchestration system, and to adopt a modular data pipeline shape which can accommodate multiple LUC methodologies with heterogeneous data sets.
Testing
The land conversion and emissions maps were manually compared against those of the google earth engine, and hectares, emissions, and emissions factors were validated for CONUS.
