Stack news rows on phones so titles stay readable - #152
Conversation
Phone widths kept a date, thumbnail, and title in one row, so titles wrapped for about 170px and the action sat in the gap underneath. Home and /news/ now share bridge.css .news-row, which puts the date and thumbnail above the copy below 760px.

Review: Stack news rows on phones so titles stay readable
Reviewed exact head 27a7d20dc2cdaed5bcd8f864b4bc3f1ed0620a55 across all six changed files (+349/-416).
No P0/P1 findings. The home/archive class migration matches the shared news-row selectors; the mobile copy and action span the row, while desktop retains the nested horizontal layout. Archive chrome has been separated into its stylesheet without changing news content or link behavior in the diff.
Verification: current-head build and PR-hygiene checks succeeded; deployment was skipped. Patch checks found no added conflict markers or trailing whitespace. Existing peer discussion contained no actionable code findings at packet collection time.
This was a static review, not an independent browser run or execution of PR code. No automated responsive regression test was added in this diff; a follow-up covering both pages around 760px, paper/avatar rows, and light/dark themes would strengthen coverage.

CodeRabbit asked for a BEM class on the archive kicker rule and for the stacked news row to be the base layout, with the horizontal row in a min-width query.

Review: Stack news rows on phones so titles stay readable
Reviewed all six changed files at 8789c294634b82711fa1126c6956225bd28c97d1 (+354/-419).
No P0/P1 findings. The home and archive markup consistently use the shared news-row component. The base layout gives copy and actions the full row width; the desktop media query restores the nested horizontal layout. Content, link behavior, and heading levels are preserved. The earlier generic .rule naming concern is fixed in this head.
Verification: exact-head build and PR-hygiene checks passed; deployment was skipped. Deterministic patch checks passed. Review was static: I did not execute PR code or independently reproduce the browser screenshots. A responsive regression check across both surfaces and the 760/761px boundary would be a useful follow-up.
Keep the dark emphasis alias from the coral-text token work and the phone-first news-row layout. The archive feed still stacks below 761px.

Reviewed the exact head 5fcdf78 across all seven changed files. No P0/P1 issues found.
The shared news-row classes match both templates, the narrow-screen layout gives the copy and action full-width rows, and the desktop query restores the horizontal layout. The archive stylesheet extraction and command-data string-formatting changes introduce no identified functional regression. The earlier peer naming concern is fixed in this head.
Verification: the packet reports a successful build and PR-hygiene check; conflict-marker and trailing-whitespace checks pass. Deployment is skipped and CodeRabbit is pending. No PR code was executed during this review. Browser screenshots and the test count in the description were not independently reproduced; responsive visual regression coverage is not established by the changed files.
Description
On a 390px screen the home news list and
/news/kept the date, thumbnail, and title in one row. The title column was about 170px wide, so headlines wrapped to about five lines, and the action button sat under a large gap. Both surfaces now use the sharedbridge.css.news-rowblock. Below 760px the date and thumbnail sit above the copy, and the button follows the text.Type of Change
