refactor(ui): Update opacity entrance easing and animation skill cleanup - #9798
Conversation
Opacity enters on `--cl-ease-enter` and leaves on `--cl-ease-exit` across the Popover, Select, Menu, Combobox and Dialog popups, replacing `linear`. The Dialog's backdrop scrims stay linear. Menu and Combobox popups move off their hardcoded `150ms`/`ease-out` onto the duration and easing tokens the other popups use, and reduced motion now drops the scale rather than the whole transition. Menu items swap their background instantly on hover, matching Select. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughMosaic motion guidance now defines an enter easing token and clarifies entrance, exit, and persistent-state timing. Combobox and menu popups use shared duration and easing tokens with reduced-motion scale suppression. Dialog, popover, and select transitions use enter and exit easing tokens instead of linear timing. An empty Changeset frontmatter block was added. Priority: ⬇️ Low Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~20 minutes Suggested reviewers: Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to Several Mosaic components use a different opacity easing curve from the documented token contract, causing inconsistent entrance animations; align them before merging. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 5✅ Passed checks (5 passed)

Reduce this code comment to one terse rationale.
The comment restates the scale behavior and spans two lines. Keep only the non-obvious reason for retaining scale: 1 under reduced motion.

Description
Have always been going off matt perry's advice around motion with framer about
opacityandcolorshould belineartransition, but was looking through some of the dropdown component examples on this post https://performance.dev/wealthsimple-year-one and while they're bouncier than we want, the opacity animation (separate from the transform anim which adds the bounciness) uses anease-outon enter and it just felt nice and snappy. tried it out here, and now the old stuff feels sluggish even tho they enter at the same speed.Anyway cross compare and let me know if you feel the same. this just updates the opacity ease on elements and adds some more richness to the timing selection process in the skill
