The PR is not very controversial (and easy to review).
Since conv and check are well tested, I guess we do not need more test. I'll merge when the CI is green.

isoforpidgio. In fact, it was a monorphicprism.I keep the API simple as possible (I guess it is sufficient). If it is merged. I guess that we can cut a release.
