Summary

Syncs the base44-cli, base44-troubleshooter, and base44-sandbox skills against the Base44 CLI source, from the previously-synced v0.1.7 up to v0.2.1.

New commands documented

  • base44 sandbox (ls, read, write, edit, grep, run, checkpoint) — remote server-side sandbox dev environment, plus the global --branch <name> option and base44 branches list
  • base44 api (catalog, search, grep, fetch) — discover and call any Base44 REST API operation directly, driven by the server's OpenAPI spec
  • base44 site dev / base44 site install — frontend-only dev server and dependency install for hosted-sandbox use
  • base44 build — now has its own reference doc (was previously undocumented, — in the command table)

Existing docs updated for behavior changes

  • deploy.md / site-deploy.md: --build/--no-build prompts, --git-hash/--publish/--concurrency (deployments-API lane vs. archive upload), BASE44_DEPLOYMENTS_API now a no-op
  • eject.md: build/deploy step now keyed on "has a site block" rather than both commands being explicitly set
  • dev.md: --remote requirements (needs serveCommand and a published URL)
  • exec.md: SDK freshness exception vs. other npm deps; env-supplied target vars
  • project-logs.md (troubleshooter): --env no longer defaults to preview (omit to read both), --since + --follow now allowed (forces polling) rather than rejected, --function-omitted now always reads server-deployed functions

Security-sensitive doc corrections (read carefully)

  • entities-create.md / SKILL.md: entity name pattern loosened from alphanumeric-only to /^\w+$/ (underscores allowed); type can now be an array (nullable/union fields) and is optional on nested properties; local base44 dev now rejects a write outright if any changed field fails FLS, matching production, instead of silently stripping the field
  • rls-examples.md: RLS field operators expanded from $in/$nin/$ne/$all to also include $eq/$gt/$gte/$lt/$lte/$exists/$size/$elemMatch — flagged that the newer operators are schema-validated but not yet emulated by base44 dev's local RLS checker, so rules using them must be verified against a deployed app
  • base44-sandbox/SKILL.md: same entity-name pattern correction (hand-authored skill, fixed in place since it was a factual error, not a conventions change)

Verified unchanged

workflows/actors command docs, site open, visibility, scaffold, types generate were checked against source and found already accurate — no edits needed.

Not documented (intentionally)

versions/publish commands exist in source but are gated behind an internal BASE44_VERSIONS_API env var ("not user-facing yet" per the CLI's own code comments) — left undocumented.

Version bump

  • CLI_VERSION: v0.1.7 → v0.2.1
  • skills/base44-cli/SKILL.md frontmatter metadata.sourcePackage.version: 0.1.7 → 0.2.1

Test plan

  • Spot-check a few new reference docs (sandbox-checkpoint.md, api-fetch.md) against npx base44 <cmd> --help in the CLI repo
  • Confirm SKILL.md command tables render correctly and all reference links resolve

Syncs skills/base44-cli, skills/base44-troubleshooter, and
skills/base44-sandbox against the Base44 CLI source (v0.1.7 -> v0.2.1):
documents new `sandbox`, `branches`, `api`, `site dev`, `site install`,
and `build` commands, updates `deploy`/`eject`/`site deploy`/`dev`/`exec`/
`logs` for behavior changes, and corrects RLS/FLS and entity-schema docs
(expanded RLS operators, FLS write-rejection semantics, entity name
pattern, nullable/union field types).

Closing: base44 api is now documented in references/api.md (#170). Re-running the sync for v0.2.2 so it updates that file instead of adding api-*.md.
