Superteam India Bounty Submission: Redesign Your Favourite App on Solana
Author: Avinash Kumar (@avinash-git-24)
Target: 1,500 USDC Bounty Pool (Superteam India & Solana Summit Track)

1. Executive Summary & Superteam Form Responses

Question 1: Which app did you redesign, and which features did you pick?

We redesigned Jupiter Exchange (jup.ag), the flagship liquidity aggregator of the Solana ecosystem. We redesigned 4 core features:

  1. Kinetic Multi-Hop Route Visualizer: Dynamic animated SVG flow paths showing real-time split liquidity (e.g. 65% Orca Whirlpool + 35% Raydium CPMM) with an explicit value-add savings badge (+$3.82 saved vs direct pool).
  2. Jup Morph Dynamic Execution Button: Fuse-inspired state-morphing button (Idle -> Ready -> Hold to Confirm -> Jito MEV Routing -> Success Confetti Celebration).
  3. Safety & Telemetry Diagnostics HUD: High-frequency telemetry card providing real-time Honeypot verification, Mint Authority checks, Liquidity Lock ratio, and 1-click Jito Bundle MEV protection.
  4. Unified Execution Matrix: Direct mode switching between Market Swap, Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA with visual accumulation curves), and Limit Orders (with dip/peak trigger offsets).

Question 2: What was the biggest problem you found in the current design, in 2-3 sentences?

Despite handling billions in volume, Jupiter suffers from high cognitive load and transaction anxiety. Intelligent routing savings are buried in opaque text accordions, critical MEV and slippage protections require digging into nested settings, and static CTA buttons provide zero feedback during high-stakes on-chain settlement.

2. Before vs After UX Audit

Jupiter Before vs After Comparison

Dimension Current Jupiter (Before) Jupiter Next (After)
Routing Transparency Route splits are buried in a tiny text accordion (1 SOL = 154.2 USDC via 2 hops). Users do not understand why trades split. Animated SVG Bezier flow paths visually show split liquidity across Orca and Raydium with explicit dollar savings.
Transaction Feedback Static "Swap" button with abrupt modal triggers. Accidental taps on mobile cause unintended execution. Hold-to-Confirm dynamic button with radial progress ring, real-time Jito bundle status, and confetti celebration.
Security & MEV Slippage and priority fees hidden in nested settings. Users get blindsided by high price impact on volatile tokens. Dedicated Telemetry Diagnostics HUD with Mint Authority check, Liquidity Lock %, Price Impact gauge, and 1-click Jito Shield.
DeFi Unification DCA and Limit orders feel like separate, intimidating sub-applications. Unified execution matrix in a single glass container with interactive DCA schedules and limit offset pills.
Mobile Ergonomics Cluttered view on mobile requiring vertical scrolling across modals. Responsive iPhone 16 Pro layout with bottom-anchored thumb controls and haptic feedback animations.

3. Alignment with Judging Rubric

  1. Real Problem Solving: Solves transaction anxiety, front-running MEV sandwiching, and routing opacity on Solana.
  2. Design Rationale & Clarity: Progressive disclosure keeps high-frequency controls upfront while diagnostics remain instantly accessible.
  3. Craft, Polish & Taste: Deep obsidian theme (#07090e), subtle glass refraction (backdrop-blur-2xl), specular borders, and tactile spring physics.
  4. New User Intuition: Eliminates fear for beginners by clearly explaining "what goes in, where it routes, and what comes out safely."

4. Live Interactive Prototype Features

  • Desktop View (1440px) & Mobile View (iPhone 16 Pro 390px) toggle in the top header.
  • Embedded UX Case Study Drawer: Click "UX Case Study" in the top bar to inspect before/after comparisons directly inside the app.
  • Interactive Token Selector: Real-time balance and price feeds for SOL, USDC, JUP, JTO, BONK, RAY, and WIF.
  • DCA Simulator: Dynamic order distribution slider (2 to 30 orders) with time-span breakdown.
  • Limit Order Matrix: Instant offset triggers (-10%, -5%, -1%, +5%, +10%) with auto-calculated execution prices.
  • Hold-to-Confirm Physics: Press and hold the action button to experience radial confirmation and confetti on-chain finality.
