This WebCTRL add-on creates a new manual command which allows users to clear the routing tables of devices.
clearroutes <instance> ..... Clears the routing table of the specified device.
There is also a built-in WebCTRL manual command, bacnet routerinfo <instance>, which reads the routing table from a device. Both of these commands rely upon the Initialize-Routing-Table BACnet network layer protocol message. If the target device does not implement this, then these commands will fail.
Internally, the clearroutes command loops, retrieving and clearing any returned routes. This loop is necessary because experiments have shown that some devices limit responses to 100 routes at a time. So effectively, this command wipes out the routing table in batches of 100. The primary network is ignored and is not cleared.
- If signed add-ons are required, copy the authenticating certificate ACES.cer to the ./programdata/addons directory of your WebCTRL installation folder.
- Install ClearRoutesCommand.addon using the WebCTRL interface.
- After installing, uninstalling, or updating the add-on, you should reboot your WebCTRL server to ensure changes are applied.
